I'll admit I'm no longer IN 10th C, but 10th C will always be a part of ME!

Here are 10 words you'd hear on a regular basis, and we'll call it our lingo for now. Let's go!

1. Gaddar (not to be confused with gaddaar)

guh-the-rr/ adj.

Cool, basically. When someone says, "Gaddar hai bhaai!" they mean the thing in question is in general, mind- blowing.

2. Vela

way-laa/ adj.

Jobless. Free. Describes a person with too much time on their hands.

3. Faadoo

fah-do/ adj.

Literally, shredding. Sort of like when something's so awesome it tears your mind up.

4. Kaand

kaand/ noun.

Mishap, scandal; an accident which is amusing in a way

"Pata hai aaj kya kaand huaa?"

5. Ukhaad

u-khad/ verb.

"Tu kya ukhaad lega bey?" sort of like saying, what will be your big deed in an arrogant way.

6. Ghonchoo

gho(n)-choo/ noun.

When you call someone a ghonchoo, you call them stupid in a fond sort of way. Also a way of addressing someone you're close to.

"Abey, ghonchoo, sunn."

7. Pachka

putch-kah/ noun.

Gadbad. Uh-oh. Oh crud. Pachka ho gaya. (it's like the little brother of kaand)

Basically like, oh no. pachka happened. I flunked an exam. Oops!

8. Daudega

thou-day-guh/ adj.

Literally, 'it will run.' It's like when you say something will 'chalega', you mean it will do. But when something will 'daudega', it'll be perfect for the job.

"Oy, pen dena."

"Yeh wala chalega?"

"Daudega."

9. Feynkna

fae(n)k-nah/ verb.

When someone bluffs. Literally, 'throwing.' When you lie or fib blatantly, 'tu feynk raha hai.'

10. Chal na

fig. of speech.

A way of saying, 'whatever'. Get outta here. Get lost in a sarcastic, friendly way.

So there you go! 10 things we used in regular convos in the unicorn-island that was 10th C!

Until next,

~Jaish~
